Devices

We are the specialist when it comes to implantable cardiac devices. In terms of device selection, we incorporate a persons lifestyle, needs and goals to give you the best fit device.

A pacemaker is a medical device that generates electrical impulses delivered by electrodes to contract the heart muscles and regulate the electrical conduction system of the heart.

An implantable cardioverter-defibrillator or automated implantable cardioverter defibrillator is a device implantable inside the body, able to perform cardioversion, defibrillation, and pacing of the heart. The device is therefore capable of correcting most life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias. We even offer SubQ ICDs

An implantable loop recorder, also known as an insertable cardiac monitor, is a small device about the length of a paperclip that is implanted just under the skin of the chest for cardiac monitoring. These can be implanted in our office or in a hospital setting.

Free yourself from the use of strong and costly anticoagulants such as eliquis, xarelto, or pradaxa.  The Watchman device which is a permanent implant that blocks off the left atrial appendage from the rest of the heart to keep possible blood clots from escaping. The device is deployed through catheter during a minimally invasive procedure

Procedures

From cardiac catheterizations to complex ablations we have you covered and will work hard to get your heart back to optimum function. Unlike other practices, we also specialize in flouroless (no x-ray) ablation to minimize radiation exposure. We offer Cryo and Radiofrequency ablations.

A cardiac electrophysiology study is a minimally invasive procedure that tests the electrical conduction system of the heart to assess the electrical activity and conduction pathways of the heart.

Catheter ablation is a procedure that uses radiofrequency energy (similar to microwave heat) to destroy a small area of heart tissue that is causing rapid and irregular heartbeats. Destroying this tissue helps restore your heart's regular rhythm.

Unlike a radiofrequency ablation, cold rather than heat, is used to disable damaged tissue and restore normal heart conduction. We have found that for certain patients this is more effective at long term success and correction of arrythmias

Hybrid ablation is an innovative procedure to stop AFib in its tracks. With one hybrid procedure, doctors can ablate (destroy) targeted tissue inside and outside the heart. Ablation blocks the electrical pathways that cause arrhythmia.
